Lately, I have been intrigued by the principles of the Law of Attraction.  Not long ago Diane and I attended a super teleseminar series hosted by Alexandria Brown and David Neagle.  I guess it got my appetite wet and inspired me to go beyond “The Secret” and study more about this fascinating phenomenon.

It is really exciting to think that you can be so inspired as to manifest who you want to be, what you want to have and how you want to live.  I find as I read and study more, my mind is transforming in a way that I am much more “open” to what the “universe” is bringing me.

For example, yesterday I spoke to my mentor regarding different ways that I could keep my personal and business goals in the forefront and not sabotage myself (which I seem to do regularly).  I thought about asking a friend to be a kind of “Accountability Coach”.

So, I asked my friend and she was thrilled and quickly accepted.  She shared with me that she had just read something about accountability coaches and thought that that was a great idea.  We also share some of the same challenges.  This was a match made, set up and prepared by the Law of Attraction.

Last night as I was reading, “The Key, The Missing Secret For Attracting Anything You Want”, By Bestselling Author Joe Vitale, I came across “The Optimists Creed”.  I thought It could also be named the Entrepreneur’s Creed.  You may have read it before but I’m sharing it with you today.  It is very powerful and brought me back to how I prefer to live my life now.  I will read this every morning and every night to ingrain it into my “DNA”.
Live your best life.
Enjoy!
The Optimist Creed (The Entrepreneur’s Creed)

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.

To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.

To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Diane and I have started planning but we have an entire planning day scheduled for tomorrow.  I am ready with my butcher paper, sticky notes and colored sharpies!

This week is actually, Improve Your Home Office Week and I know I need a lot of help in that area J

Last but not least, today October 9th is Leif Erickson Day.  My question is why the Heck does Leif need a day?  Who knows?  If you know, tell us about it.

Events and seminars can be a huge payday for business owners.  You know nearly every niche in business can benefit by holding seminars, workshops or events.

For the last 12 years we have involved in event marketing, operations and management.  Actually, we had developed a unique appreciation for nearly every mistake and certainly everything that WORKS when it applies to holding successful and profitable events.

We learned every aspect of this business through the school of hard knocks - you see, we have the experience under our belt.

You can learn how to avoid losing your butt financially by learning the little known secrets that seasoned event planners won’t tell you.  Whether you and your staff put on your own seminars, workshops and events, or you hire an event planner you’ll know when you’ve been fooled or getting a bad deal.  This is truly a case of knowledge is power.

In December you are invited to learn from the masters how not to be fooled by bad hotel negotiations, how to avoid less than adequate audio and video set up, how to take charge of your event for the lowest possible cost.  That brings you the highest profits.

You are invited to attend the Successful Events Planning and Marketing Building Blocks Workshop in December 2008.  This really is a very special invitation and we reduced the price for a select few.  Why???

We need your help!  You see we are creating a product at this event and we want to quickly and easily fill the room.  This will be the only time we will put on this event for less than $2500.00.  It will never happen again!

Delegate and Follow Up

Posted in Business Systems by Diane on February 14th, 2008

Delegate everything that you possibly can to capable trained staff members.

Build a business system for each function you delegate in your office to include the required follow up mechanism.

Document your business systems and distribute to the staff as appropriate.

The key to delegating is communicating to the staff their specific responsibilities, how to accomplish the task, a budget if appropriate and the time frame and standard to which it must be done.

Create a SmartBook for each position or function.

Follow up with a reporting system that makes sense for your business.

Measure Your Staff’s Productivity

Posted in Business Systems by Gail on January 31st, 2008

Staff positions should have written job descriptions. These job descriptions must be based on real tasks they must accomplish on a daily basis - monthly basis, and if applicable on a project basis. Reducing the tasks to quantifiable numbers that are reported to you daily or weekly will allow you to measure the effectiveness and progress toward your goals and objectives.

Examples:

· 2 Articles must be submitted to www.EzineArticles.com daily.

·Web Statistics are reported daily. Report to be submitted and Reportable items are located in the webmaster’s “SmartBook”

Tasks that tend to get measured get accomplished. What are you measuring in your business? Is it enough? Does you staff really know what is expected of them?
